Late Afternoon: One More Before You Go

If you've still got time and appetite, Komodo • Specialty Coffee Brewers deserves a visit before the day closes out. Ask what the current single-origin espresso is — they rotate it weekly and they consistently pick interesting ones. The kind of place that rewards curiosity. Not somewhere you stumble into; somewhere you go back to.

For matcha drinkers or anyone bored of defaulting to coffee by mid-afternoon, Olea Specialty Coffee & Matcha does both well. The matcha is the real reason to go — properly made, not the sad powder-in-warm-milk version you get most places.
